A Doll, A Doll, Bex Wants a Doll

Who wants to buy me a Kate Spade Barbie?

Worst. Blogger. Ever.

I can't seem to get the hang of this whole updating thing. But here I go again with an attempt. (By the way, thanks to Matty for wondering where I am). Firstly, the ever-rad Kendall has a blog of her very own now. Go, check it out!

Now, where were we? Oh yes...Judy graced KC with her presence, which meant she and I did a lot of driving and talking and singing camp songs at the top of our lungs while coming to the realization that our lung capacity just isn't what it used to be.

And the flashback songs just keep on coming: I heard "Seether" on the radio the other day (damn you, '90s at Noon) and came to the terrifying realization that I may have seen Veruca Salt live way back when. The fact that I can't remember is somewhat worrisome, but if it makes anyone feel better, I saw Rodan during the same era.

I went to Chicago to see Erica, which was a lot of shopping and eating and shopping some more. And then to New York, where I may have done just a little bit more of the eating. New York was in almost-spring mode, and I couldn't help but fall in love with 7th Avenue again as I walked by Chadwin House, the Chelsea apartment building with the crazy topiaries out front.

Danny was on spring break, so I got the Danny After Hours experience (yay!). And the Boris in the Morning Experience (um, not so yay!). The Boris in the Afternoon Experience was much better. We walked up Madison while eating Teuscher chocolates and sticking out like sore thumbs (Boris: "We are the only non-trophy wives on this block"). We had big plans to see the Biennial, but I insisted we skip it after seeing a loooooong line out front. Instead, we kicked it at the Cafe Sabarsky inside the infinitely elegant Neue Galerie, where I think I slipped into some sort of chocolate/coffee coma. Is there any better kind?

What else? Matt and Emma fed me an amazing meal; Amanda gifted me with piles of free beauty booty; Zack and I talked yoga; Stephen and I scored at Century 21 (I snagged a Pucci swimsuit and undies too!); Mina and I had a long-awaited catch-up; Andrea and I dodged strollers at Park Slope's Tea Lounge; Danny and I saw the Wrens (and spotted The Streets chilling with Mr. Liv Tyler, who is really short); I saw an amazing Laurie Simmons exhibit; Christy and I had one of our Big Discussions; I OD'd on fanciness in the Meatpacking District (where, I'm pleased to report, they thought my bag was a Fendi at Jeffrey); Kate the Great and I finally saw each other; I got domestic with Dawn...and on the way to the airport stopped at Bergen Bagels and ran into Dan who deserves your support as his 'hood faces obliteration at the hands of The Man.

I promise more breaking developments more often. For reals.
