Quiet is the New Loud

I like the Kings of Convenience on record just fine, but they never blew me away until I heard Versus, their remix album. It's just like me to need excessive production to appreciate the minimalism, but after that I was hooked. Erik and I saw them play a lovely show at Angel Orensanz Foundation many moons ago, so I had to see them when they rolled into the Bottleneck a few nights ago. Firstly, who knew the Norwegian duo had so many Kansan fans? I love it when that happens. Sometimes you think you're the only one who's heard of someone out here, and indeed, sometimes you are, but it's nice when you're not. The real radness of the evening belongs to Feist, whose set just blew me away. On Let It Die she covers a Bee Gees song! There's nothing else I need to be content!
